Human Interest is a high-growth fintech company on a mission to make retirement benefits accessible to small and medium-sized businesses across the United States. More than half of working Americans lack adequate retirement savings, often because their employers don't offer plans. Human Interest solves this by providing affordable, accessible retirement solutions to SMBs, enabling their employees to save for financial independence.
As an Account Executive covering the Southeast region (EST timezone), you will own the full sales cycle from initial demo through contract close. Your responsibilities include prospecting and targeting companies using sales tools, building and managing a qualified pipeline, learning and demonstrating the Human Interest platform to prospective customers, negotiating contracts, and maintaining accurate records in Salesforce.
You bring at least 2 years of sales experience, ideally from a startup environment, with a demonstrated track record of exceeding quota. You excel at closing deals and helping businesses understand the concrete value of retirement solutions. You are solutions-oriented, recognizing objections and helping customers see value regardless of their industry knowledge. Your communication and interpersonal skills are exceptional—people trust you and believe you advocate for solutions you genuinely believe in.
You have experience with high-velocity sales cycles or selling to small businesses. You are resilient, bouncing back quickly from setbacks and finding creative solutions. You are comfortable with sales technology including Salesforce or similar CRMs, and you can learn technology basics and apply them to business situations. Above all, you are passionate about solving big problems and making an immediate, positive impact on businesses and their employees' financial futures.
Human Interest is backed by top-tier investors including BlackRock, TPG (The Rise Fund), SoftBank, and others, with approximately $500 million in funding to date. The company operates on core principles including customer obsession, long-term orientation, and autonomous, accountable teams.
