As an Account Executive in the SME & Growth segment, you will drive new business across Airwallex's Acquiring, Card, FX, and Payment API product suite, targeting eCommerce retailers, marketplaces, online travel agents, and other high-potential verticals across Australia. You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end, from prospecting through close, managing complex commercial negotiations with Legal, Finance, and Strategy partners. You'll build and maintain a high-quality pipeline while contributing to sales best practices evolution for the Australian market.
You bring proven success in tech sales with a strong track record of exceeding quotas and driving new business growth. You operate as a trusted individual contributor with the maturity and leadership capability to influence team outcomes. You possess exceptional communication and rapport-building skills, engaging stakeholders from operators to senior executives. Your strong commercial acumen and negotiation experience enable you to navigate complex sales cycles effectively. You are highly proactive and independent with strong ownership and accountability for results. You collaborate cross-functionally to deliver customer outcomes and have a passion for mentoring and developing others. You simplify complex solutions, articulate compelling value propositions tailored to customer needs, and bring high attention to detail when crafting proposals and closing opportunities.
The role operates on a hybrid model with three days per week in the vibrant Sydney office and two remote workdays, fostering strong team connections while maintaining flexibility.
