As an Account Executive for the SMB segment, you will own a designated territory within EMEA (with German language fluency required) and manage both new business development and expansion within existing accounts. Your primary responsibilities include hunting new opportunities in the SMB sector (companies up to 1,000 employees), building and maintaining a healthy sales pipeline, and driving revenue growth through quota attainment.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage and grow your geographical territory, focusing on acquiring new SMB clients and expanding existing accounts
- Build pipeline through proactive prospecting, cold calling, networking, and inbound leads using the MEDDPPICC sales methodology
- Consistently meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas and KPIs
- Identify and execute upsell opportunities within existing accounts, leveraging 1Password's Extended Access Management platform
- Represent 1Password at industry events, trade shows, and conferences
- Implement solution-selling strategies aligned with client needs and pain points
- Collaborate cross-functionally with BDR, Solutions, Channels, Onboarding, and Customer Success teams
- Stay current on cybersecurity trends, particularly Identity and Access Management
Required qualifications:
- 2+ years of SaaS sales experience, preferably in security with SMB/Mid-Market focus, OR top-performing BDR with outbound success ready to advance
- Fluent in German (written and spoken)
- Experience owning a geographical territory or country within EMEA
- Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas and KPIs
- Strong prospecting, pipeline building, account planning, and territory management skills
- Business acumen, solution selling, negotiation, and presentation abilities
- Ability to understand and articulate complex cybersecurity and Identity/Access Management concepts
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, resilient, and thriving in remote environments
- Collaborative team player, curious and coachable
Preferred: Salesforce, Slack, Zoom, LinkedIn Sales Navigator, and Outreach proficiency; willingness to travel within region for client meetings and events.
