Daybreak Health is hiring an Account Executive for new business development focused on mid-size K-12 school districts (2,000–5,000 students) across eight active states. This is a pure new-logo, outside sales role with no renewals or upsell responsibilities. You will own the full sales cycle end-to-end: self-source pipeline through cold outreach, regional conferences, networking, and referrals from existing district partners; run discovery, demos, proposals, and closes independently; and hand off closed-won districts to the customer success team. The role is roughly 40% prospecting and 60% deal execution, with a target close cycle under 30 days. Daybreak partners with school districts to address the critical shortage of school mental health services. The company matches students with clinicians based on language, culture, identity, and clinical need, typically starting care within 1–2 weeks at no cost to families. Outcomes are strong: 81% of students improve on standardized clinical measures, 92% of families report meaningful behavioral change, and 80% of school staff see improvements in attendance, grades, and behavior. Daybreak is backed by Union Square Ventures, Lux Capital, Lightspeed Venture Partners, Maven Ventures, and Y Combinator, and currently serves districts representing over one million students. You'll navigate multi-stakeholder environments (Superintendents, Student Services Directors, Special Education and Mental Health leaders), maintain Salesforce hygiene, hit weekly and monthly activity targets, and partner with Marketing on AI-assisted outbound tools. Success requires 3–6+ years of outbound B2B sales with a track record of self-sourced pipeline, direct experience selling into K-12 districts or comparable public-sector buyers, comfort with faster mid-size district sales cycles, and Salesforce proficiency. Nice-to-haves include a proven prospecting playbook, existing relationships with district leaders in active states, familiarity with Title IV, IDEA, Medicaid, and state mental health funding, and high-growth startup experience on a lean, metrics-driven GTM team.
