NerdWallet Small Business is seeking an Account Executive to drive sales and support small business owners in finding tailored financial solutions. In this role, you will manage the complete sales cycle from initial outreach through deal closure, working with a portfolio of small business customers and lender partners.
Key responsibilities include: managing and qualifying leads through phone outreach, becoming an expert on NerdWallet's product suite and loan offerings, serving as a liaison between lenders and business owners to identify optimal funding matches, and consistently achieving monthly sales targets. You'll work in a fast-paced inside sales environment, handling multiple priorities while maintaining strong communication with diverse business owners.
The role requires 3 months to 2 years of direct sales experience, proven ability to manage a pipeline against KPIs, excellent communication skills, and comfort with autonomous time management. You should thrive in a collaborative sales floor environment, think quickly on your feet, and be coachable—able to implement feedback immediately.
Based in New York with an in-office expectation, the role offers flexibility to work remotely up to 20% of the month from anywhere in the continental US after completing training (typically months 4-6). Compensation is $26.45/hour base plus monthly bonuses tied to sales goals, with total earning potential of $75,000/year (or $28.85/hour for Senior Account Executive track at $85,000/year potential). Additional incentives include uncapped commission, sales milestone bonuses starting at $2,000, and sales contest rewards.
