Applied Intuition is a $15B-valued AI infrastructure company powering physical intelligence for autonomous systems across automotive, defense, trucking, construction, mining, and agriculture. This Account Executive role focuses on the Navy portfolio, reporting to the Head of Growth.
You will own a set of Navy accounts (NAVSEA, NAVAIR, PEO IWS, ONR) and serve as the primary point of contact, responsible for three core functions: building and maintaining customer relationships; selling Applied Intuition's autonomy, modeling & simulation, and vehicle OS capabilities into those accounts; and prospecting for new contacts, programs, and budget lines to expand footprint.
Your primary value lies in working with customers to identify problems, frame solutions, and build a path to contract before formal solicitations exist. You spend most time in conversations rather than documents, generating and shaping opportunities through relationship-driven selling. You are outward-facing, customer-first, and focused on creating demand.
Key responsibilities include: owning a Navy account portfolio and serving as the persistent point of contact; prospecting and identifying new contacts and adjacent program offices; conducting working-level discovery to understand budget cycles, contract strategies, and emerging needs; leading customer-facing meetings and capability briefs; running demos with Solutions Architects; and working with Mission Directors and Capture managers to shape deals pre-solicitation.
Required qualifications: Navy operational or acquisition background with existing relationships in target offices; 2–4 years in customer-facing, revenue-generating roles (defense, tech sales, SaaS, consulting, financial services, or military service); ability to understand customer problems and workflows; track record managing accounts from opportunity identification through contract award in startup or fast-paced environments; high energy, charisma, persistence, and comfort with ambiguity; U.S. citizenship and eligibility for Secret or Top Secret security clearance.
Nice-to-have: familiarity with Navy acquisition processes, PPBE cycle, POM process; experience with Naval unmanned systems, autonomous platforms, or combat systems; knowledge of modeling & simulation, autonomy software, or Vehicle OS architectures in defense context; consultative or solution-selling experience.
