Dataminr is seeking a highly motivated Account Executive to drive new business growth in the International Defence market, with a focus on Iberia (Spain and Portugal). This is a strategic sales role for an experienced enterprise software sales professional with a proven track record in the public sector and defence/military space.
You will be responsible for planning and executing strategic sales capture plans to drive new customer growth across the International Defence sector, ensuring coverage of quarterly and annual revenue targets. You'll build and maintain excellent long-term customer partnerships, create networks of key influencers and decision-makers, and develop deep understanding of customer use cases, internal decision-making processes, and budget cycles.
Key responsibilities include providing thought leadership to generate demand for Dataminr's Real Time Alerting products, identifying integration opportunities into customer workflows, delivering accurate sales forecasting, and acting as a sector subject matter expert advising on strategic and tactical sales recommendations based on competitive activity and market trends.
You must have 5+ years of successful enterprise software or SaaS sales experience with a demonstrable track record of closing strategic opportunities in the Defence/Military sector, particularly in European defence. Spanish language fluency is required (Portuguese or Italian are valuable additions). A military background is a plus. You should be adept at navigating and influencing all customer stakeholders in complex buying processes, with exceptional communication skills for establishing clear value propositions.
A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience is required, along with appropriate security clearance to operate within the client base. The role involves 35-50% travel.
