Salary: USD 160,000 - 180,000 / annual

OpenGov is seeking an Account Executive II to lead sales efforts for their ERP product suite within an assigned territory. This is a quota-carrying sales role focused on new business development and account growth in the public sector market. Key responsibilities include territory planning and prospect identification, leading the full sales cycle from lead generation through contract negotiation and deal closure. You will own customer relationships, make product demonstrations to government leaders at various organizational levels, and work collaboratively with the ERP POD Leader to close complex multi-suite opportunities. The role requires developing deep knowledge of OpenGov's product suite and the local/state government vertical, including use cases, competitive advantages, and business outcomes. You will generate leads through networking, cold calling, and marketing partnerships, manage relationships with senior government officials, and establish referenceable customers to build the OpenGov brand. Additional responsibilities include participating in demand-generation campaigns with the marketing team, managing the sales process using MEDDIC methodology, attending QBRs, and maintaining knowledge of the competitive landscape. OpenGov serves over 2,000 cities, counties, state agencies, school districts, and special districts with AI-powered ERP solutions for accounting, budgeting, procurement, asset management, permitting, and transparency. The company is headquartered in San Francisco with 800+ employees globally. Requirements: Bachelor's degree, 2-4 years of quota-carrying software sales experience, demonstrated track record of hitting/exceeding quotas, ability to close complex consultative deals, and willingness to travel up to 50%. Experience in the State and Local Government vertical is a bonus. Strong communication skills, CRM/Salesforce experience, and ability to engage senior executives required.
