VAST Data is seeking an Account Executive to drive sales within the higher education and SLED (State, Local, and Education) sectors. This role focuses on building executive-level relationships with colleges, universities, and public sector institutions, managing complex sales cycles, and navigating the unique funding and procurement processes of the public sector.
You will develop business across enterprise-level customers, generate revenue through direct sales and channel partner networks, and manage the complete sales process from initial prospecting through proof of concept and post-sale expansion opportunities. Key responsibilities include identifying and reaching decision-makers at target accounts, developing and presenting proposals that demonstrate how VAST's data management solutions address customer business objectives, and closing deals while managing customer relationships to identify upsell opportunities.
