Dome Systems is building a governance and control plane for AI agents—a new category addressing how enterprises can safely deploy, govern, and operate AI agents across clouds, frameworks, and models. The company recognizes that traditional access controls (API gateways, RBAC, network policy) were designed for predictable, deterministic behavior and fail when AI agents compose unexpected calls, retry on wrong errors, and pass data in unanticipated shapes.
As an early-stage Enterprise Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle from qualified opportunity through contract signature, selling into platform engineering, security, and infrastructure teams at F2000 enterprises and large digital-native companies. This is a technical, consultative sale where you partner with a Solutions Engineer and receive direct support from the founders.
Key responsibilities include:
- Running full-cycle enterprise sales (discovery, technical evaluation, procurement, close) across multi-stakeholder buying committees spanning platform engineering, security, and finance
- Selling into Dome's primary entry point—platform and security teams building internal AI infrastructure—and navigating escalation to VP and CISO-level approval
- Partnering with product and engineering during technical evaluations, answering architecture questions directly or bringing the right technical expert into conversations
- Building qualification and forecasting discipline, treating each deal as a learning opportunity about market composition
- Working closely with founders on positioning, pricing, and deal strategy
- Representing Dome at industry conferences, communities, and forums where platform and security engineers congregate
You bring 5+ years of full-cycle enterprise software sales, ideally in infrastructure, security, developer tools, or platform categories where buyers are technical. You have a proven track record closing deals with multi-stakeholder enterprise buying committees, not transactional single-threaded sales. You're comfortable selling emerging categories without established budget lines, spending time helping buyers understand the problem before vendor comparison. You have genuine curiosity about the technology—you understand why agent governance differs from API governance and can explain this clearly to skeptical platform engineers. You build repeatable systems and document what works rather than winging deals. Prior experience at early-stage startups (seed to Series B) and selling to platform engineering or security teams are strong pluses.
The role is hybrid, based near Dome's SF Bay Area hub, with expectations for in-person time for team building, deal strategy, and high-impact collaboration. The company values curiosity and productivity, trusts distributed work, and maintains high standards with low formality.
