As an Account Executive based in Des Moines, you will own the full sales cycle for early education providers, from initial outreach through deal closure. Your primary responsibilities include engaging with prospective and existing customers to understand their needs, conducting high-volume outbound discovery to identify opportunities and uncover pain points, and running tailored product demonstrations that clearly articulate how Brightwheel improves daily operations.
You will manage your own pipeline using Salesforce, maintain accurate records of all outreach and follow-ups, and be accountable for achieving monthly revenue and unit goals with clear support from your manager. The role emphasizes learning the competitive landscape and confidently positioning Brightwheel's solutions based on customer needs.
You'll work in a collaborative, customer-focused environment where feedback is frequent and continuous improvement is expected. Regular coaching sessions with your manager and peers will help you refine your sales approach and develop your skills. The team is distributed across US time zones with select physical offices, though this role is based in Des Moines.
The ideal candidate has professional experience in a customer-facing, goal-oriented, or fast-paced role—prior sales experience is not required. You should be a strong communicator with excellent organizational skills, resilient in the face of rejection, and genuinely excited about the impact of improving early education through technology. Coachability, adaptability, and a growth mindset are essential.
