Clio, a global leader in legal AI technology, is hiring an Account Executive to drive adoption of its Voice & Messaging unified communications offering. This specialized sales role focuses on VoIP and telephony modernization for law firms, combining core Account Executive skills with deep technical communications expertise. You'll own the complete sales cycle—qualification through close—for both net-new prospects and existing customers in the SMB segment. Your responsibilities include understanding law firms' current phone and messaging systems, translating technical concepts (call routing, number porting, network readiness) into business value, and building consensus across multiple stakeholders (firm owners, managing partners, office administrators, IT decision makers). Key activities: qualify firms' communications environments and call flows; assess network and hardware readiness; scope number porting requirements honestly; run trials as real opportunities; drive attach and expansion within the existing customer base; maintain a 3x qualified pipeline in Salesforce; and consistently meet monthly and quarterly targets. You'll also serve as the resident VoIP/UCaaS expert for other Account Executives and Customer Success Managers, joining their calls and leading technical conversations. You'll partner cross-functionally with Solutions Engineering, Customer Success, and Onboarding/Migrations teams to ensure clean handoffs and successful implementations. Ideal candidates bring 3+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales experience with a track record of meeting targets across new business and expansion. Direct experience selling UCaaS, VoIP, CCaaS, or telecommunications is preferred, along with practical familiarity with call flows, auto attendants, DIDs, number porting, and desk-phone provisioning. You should be comfortable navigating incumbent providers, contract overlaps, and working in an AI-assisted environment. Experience selling into existing customer bases and strong discovery/value-based selling instincts are essential. Bonus qualifications include hands-on experience with platforms like RingCentral, Dialpad, Zoom, 8x8, or Nextiva; legal technology or professional-services vertical experience; and familiarity with regulatory requirements (E911, STIR/SHAKEN, A2P messaging, call-recording consent).
