Glacier is a Series A climate tech startup building AI-powered sorting robots and business analytics software for the recycling industry. The company's technology has been recognized by TIME as one of the best inventions of 2025 and serves major clients including Colgate, Amazon, and municipal recycling facilities.
You will join Glacier's founding sales team as an Account Executive, reporting to the VP of Sales. This is a full-cycle sales role where you'll own the entire customer journey—from prospecting and relationship building through negotiation and closing. You'll work alongside two other Account Executives to build Glacier's sales function from the ground up, establishing go-to-market strategy and sales processes with real ownership and minimal constraints.
Key responsibilities include: managing the full sales cycle for complex AI-powered recycling solutions; building and nurturing client relationships as a trusted advisor; developing strategic account plans to meet revenue targets; creating compelling presentations, demos, and proposals; collaborating cross-functionally with marketing, product, and support teams; maintaining accurate pipeline data and revenue forecasts; and providing customer feedback to inform engineering roadmaps.
You should have 3+ years of direct business development or partnerships experience in a high-performance environment (management consulting, investment banking) OR 3+ years in BD/partnerships within waste management. Critical: you must demonstrate ownership of specific deliverables and outcomes, not just advisory contributions. You need genuine, demonstrated commitment to climate tech or sustainability (evidenced by past projects, volunteer work, or a clear personal thesis). Early-stage startup experience or founding team membership is strongly preferred.
You'll be comfortable selling complex, technical products and translating AI/robotics features into customer value. You should be eager to learn the recycling industry and MRF operations, comfortable with ambiguity, and able to build processes from scratch. Travel up to 50% (primarily US-based) is required. Bonus experience includes selling industrial automation, robotics, manufacturing, or recycling solutions, or technical understanding of those domains.
