Papaya Global is a rapidly growing B2B SaaS unicorn ($400M+ raised) revolutionizing the global payroll and payments industry. The company provides a comprehensive platform for managing international workforces—from hiring and onboarding to payroll and payments—across 160+ countries.
As an Account Executive, you will drive new business development and close enterprise and mid-market deals. You'll own the full sales cycle: prospecting, stakeholder engagement, demos, proposals, and closing. Your focus will be on mid-sized and enterprise global organizations, including post-IPO companies seeking to streamline their international payroll, compliance, and HR operations.
Key responsibilities include:
- Generating new business opportunities with a consultative, solution-oriented approach
- Identifying and engaging key decision-makers and stakeholders within target accounts
- Managing the complete sales cycle from lead generation through contract closure
- Delivering tailored demos and proposals that articulate Papaya's value and ROI
- Understanding client challenges around global payroll, compliance, and international HR
- Collaborating with Sales, Product, and Operations teams to ensure smooth customer handovers
- Sharing field insights to support product and go-to-market improvements
- Staying current on market trends, client needs, and competitive positioning
You'll leverage AI-powered tools for research, account planning, and sales execution. The role requires a consultative mindset, strong communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder international sales cycles.
Required qualifications: 5–7 years of full-cycle sales experience in payroll, HCM, HR technology, EOR, or workforce management. Proven success selling complex SaaS solutions to mid-market and enterprise buyers. Understanding of SaaS platforms and their application in global payroll/HR (HRIS, ERP, expense tools). Strong presentation and communication skills. Entrepreneurial mindset and appreciation for global, multicultural environments.
Nice-to-have: Salesforce, LinkedIn Navigator, Gong, Slack, or MS Teams experience; exposure to international expansion trends; strong proposal writing skills.
