Monk is an AI-native accounts receivable platform that automates billing, collections, and payments for B2B companies. The company is modernizing a traditionally overlooked finance function with AI, speed, and craftsmanship. As an Account Executive, you will own the full sales cycle for mid-market deals. This is not a role where you need a BDR to fill your pipeline or a manager directing your every move—you'll be expected to source, prospect, and close independently. Key responsibilities include: • Prospecting & Lead Generation: Identify and target mid-market customers through any means necessary. Build relationships and drive pipeline growth through research, networking, and cold outreach. • Complex Deal Management: Manage the full customer lifecycle from initial contact through close. Lead negotiations, address objections, and navigate multi-stakeholder buying processes. • Sales Strategy Development: Develop and refine strategies to meet or exceed revenue targets. Help shape Monk's go-to-market motion and sales process as an early-stage team. • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, product, and other teams to understand product capabilities and tailor solutions to customer needs. You'll bring 5+ years of B2B SaaS sales experience with a proven track record of closing complex deals in mid-market. You're independent, self-motivated, and comfortable with consultative, value-based selling. You have world-class communication skills for executives and end users alike, and a winner's mentality. Domain expertise in finance or AR is not required—any B2B SaaS background works. The company values results and attitude over pedigree or prestigious titles. Monk offers competitive on-target earnings with meaningful equity, a large qualified pipeline, full ownership of your sales cycle, experienced founders with real traction, and the opportunity to help build the sales organization from the ground up. You'll work in-person in Flatiron, NYC with a fast-moving, high-bar team.
