Foodsmart is seeking an Account Executive to own annual revenue retention and growth for a client portfolio of health plans and health systems. You will develop and execute account growth plans identifying upsell and expansion opportunities, lead contract renewal processes end-to-end (negotiating terms, articulating value, securing multi-year commitments), and build executive-level relationships within accounts to broaden organizational sponsorship.
Key responsibilities include partnering with the Client Success team to monitor account health and timing renewal/expansion conversations; using data-driven analysis to interpret and present ROI and clinical metrics as expansion levers; collaborating with marketing to co-create campaigns supporting growth initiatives (new lines of business, expanded populations, increased engagement); and working with Product and Sales to structure, price, and close new services or expanded scope within existing accounts.
You will work directly with health insurance companies across Medicare, Medicaid, and Commercial lines of business, as well as health systems. This role requires strong negotiation skills, executive presence, cross-functional collaboration, and a strategic mindset to align multiple stakeholders.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 6+ years of experience in healthcare consulting, healthcare services, or clinical services in a client-facing growth, sales, or account management role focused on renewals, upselling, or expansion
- Demonstrated history of exceeding revenue retention and growth targets with clients
- Experience growing a book of business and exceeding ARR through client sales, upselling, and contract renewals
- Experience analyzing clinical outcomes, marketing data, and campaign performance to build growth cases
- Background working with executive-level clients and gaining approvals on new strategies informed by regulatory filings and account networking
- Understanding of complex contracting and provider agreements within health plans and health system contracting processes
- Bachelor's degree required; MBA or Master's degree preferred
- Experience working with health plans in California preferred
- Understanding of telehealth, wellness, or nutrition space a plus
- Experience in startup or small company environment a plus
