Black Forest Labs is the team behind Latent Diffusion, Stable Diffusion, and FLUX—foundational generative AI models used by millions of creators, developers, and businesses worldwide. The company is headquartered in Freiburg, Germany with a growing presence in San Francisco, and is scaling rapidly while maintaining a focus on research excellence and open science.
This is a full-cycle Account Executive role selling FLUX models and API access to a diverse customer base spanning AI startups, AI-native companies, and enterprise brands entering generative AI. You will own the entire sales lifecycle from initial qualification through close, renewal, and expansion for a book of 30-50+ accounts.
Key responsibilities include:
- Managing the full sales cycle for SMB, startup, and enterprise customers, including well-known global brands
- Building and maintaining a high-volume account portfolio, driving retention, adoption, and expansion
- Qualifying inbound leads and executing outbound prospecting into target segments
- Running sales campaigns in collaboration with sales leadership
- Handling deals across API access and model weight licensing
- Translating customer needs and usage patterns into expansion opportunities
- Collaborating with solutions engineering and product teams on technical questions
Ideal candidates have 2-4 years of closing sales experience, ideally with a BDR-to-AE progression. You should have experience selling technical products such as APIs, developer tools, cloud infrastructure, or AI/ML solutions. Comfort discussing model capabilities, API integration, and deployment with technical buyers is essential. You thrive in high-volume, fast-paced environments, have strong outbound prospecting instincts, and can manage multiple deals in parallel without losing track. Background in generative AI, image/video generation, or open-source business models is a bonus.
The company operates as a distributed team with real offices in Freiburg and San Francisco. Depending on the role, you'll work in-office at least 2 days per week (or one full week every other week) or work remotely with a monthly in-person week. The company covers reasonable travel costs to make this accessible.
Compensation: €90,000 - €145,000 base annual salary plus variable compensation and equity.
