Baselayer is rebuilding the identity and trust infrastructure layer for American financial institutions. The company has built the most complete business graph in America by fusing public records, IRS data, sanctions lists, web signals, and fraud telemetry from 2,200+ financial institutions, achieving 98% match rates in under two years—compared to legacy credit bureaus that took 50 years to reach 60%. Baselayer is trusted by over 20% of US financial institutions, including FIS, Rho, and Socure.
The Agentic Economy team is a startup-within-startup focused on extending Baselayer's business graph into the trust layer for agentic commerce. As AI agents begin transacting autonomously—opening accounts, buying services, moving money—counterparties need real-time verification of who they're dealing with. This team is building verifiable credentials, a registry for real-time queries, and verification APIs that integrate with payment networks, banks, wallet providers, and agent platforms. The category is being defined now; infrastructure decisions made in the next 18 months will shape the decade ahead.
You will be the first dedicated seller on this team, owning the full sales cycle for agentic economy products: prospecting, discovery, demos, negotiation, and close. You'll run targeted outbound into named segments working directly with the GM, execute prospecting sequences, lead discovery conversations to understand customer pain points, run product demos and manage pilots, conduct technical evaluations with risk/compliance/engineering teams, and contribute to segment playbooks (ICP definitions, messaging, objection handling, pricing). You'll collaborate with GTM leadership on positioning and sales motions, partner with Product and Engineering to share customer feedback and influence roadmap decisions, and represent Baselayer with professionalism and thought leadership.
Minimum requirements: 4+ years of quota-carrying B2B sales of API, data, or infrastructure products to big tech, payments, or financial institution buyers; consistent track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets; experience running complex, consultative sales cycles with technical or analytical buyers; strong discovery, storytelling, and objection-handling skills; comfort operating in ambiguity and rapidly evolving environments; proactive, self-directed mindset.
What sets you apart: first or founding AE experience at an early-stage company; familiarity with agentic commerce, stablecoin/digital asset platforms, or the AI agent ecosystem; existing network in target segments; high intellectual curiosity and fast learning.
