VAST Data is hiring an Account Executive for its AI & Analytics team to drive new customer acquisition and revenue growth on the West Coast. VAST is building an Operating System for AI—a unified enterprise infrastructure platform that consolidates storage, databases, data lakes, messaging, analytics, and AI pipelines into a single intelligent software system. The company is one of the fastest-growing enterprise software companies globally, helping leading organizations modernize data environments and accelerate AI/analytics initiatives. In this hunter role, you will own the full sales cycle for VAST's data and analytics platform, from prospecting and discovery through technical evaluation, negotiation, and close. You'll engage executive and technical stakeholders—data leaders, analytics teams, AI/ML engineers, and C-suite executives—to uncover modernization and AI initiatives, then position VAST as a unified platform for large-scale data processing. Key responsibilities include building and managing pipeline through strategic prospecting, account-based selling, and executive engagement; identifying opportunities across data modernization, analytics, AI/ML, data engineering, and real-time processing; owning complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles; translating VAST's technical capabilities into measurable business outcomes; developing strategic account plans; collaborating cross-functionally with sales, engineering, product, and partners; and maintaining disciplined pipeline management and forecasting while providing market insights to strengthen go-to-market strategy. This is a true new-business development role for someone who can break into accounts, build demand, and articulate why VAST's unified approach is fundamentally different from fragmented legacy architectures.
