OpenAI's Go To Market team is seeking an Account Director for the Mid-Market segment in APAC to drive sales strategy and execution across the region. This role is based in India (Delhi, Mumbai, or Bangalore) with a hybrid model of 3 days in-office.
You will manage a portfolio of named accounts while executing programmatic sales through OpenAI partners. Key responsibilities include developing and executing comprehensive regional go-to-market strategies, winning lighthouse accounts through outbound sales, partnering with solutions and research engineering teams on complex customer programs, owning consumption revenue targets, managing forecasts, and supporting team recruitment and culture development.
The ideal candidate brings 7+ years of direct selling experience in Data, AI, or Cloud environments. You should have demonstrated expertise in designing and executing complex go-to-market strategies, orchestrating programmatic sales motions with partners, and operating in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Experience working directly with C-level executives, leading high-visibility customer events (CABs, conferences, product launches), and hands-on experience with AI tools are essential.
