OpenAI's Go To Market team is seeking an Account Director for Large Enterprise to manage key accounts and drive enterprise adoption of OpenAI's AI products. This role sits at the intersection of sales, technical strategy, and partnership, requiring someone who can help customers understand and deploy highly capable AI models across their business.
You will manage a small portfolio of strategic accounts, owning the entire sales cycle from pipeline generation through successful deployment. Key responsibilities include developing comprehensive account plans, leading enterprise prospects through their consideration and deployment journey, partnering with solutions and research engineering teams on complex customer programs, and owning consumption revenue targets. You'll analyze account metrics, monitor competitive and industry landscape, and contribute insights to product roadmap and corporate strategy. The role also involves cross-functional collaboration with solutions, marketing, product, engineering, and business operations teams, plus supporting recruitment and culture development.
Required experience includes 10+ years selling PaaS/SaaS solutions, consistently achieving $2M+ annual revenue targets for 3+ years, designing complex deal strategies, supporting high-growth companies, and working directly with C-level executives. You should excel at communicating technical concepts, leading high-visibility customer events, and gathering market intelligence.
