Diligent is seeking an Account Director to drive revenue growth and deepen customer engagement across their GRC (Governance, Risk & Compliance) SaaS platform. This is a high-impact individual contributor role focused on expanding product adoption among existing customers and acquiring new clients in complex, longer-sales-cycle accounts within a designated vertical or territory.
You will be responsible for the full sales cycle—from prospecting and pipeline management to deal closure and accurate forecasting. Key responsibilities include building deep product expertise, adopting a solutions-selling approach tailored to customer needs, developing and executing account plans aligned with revenue targets, and coordinating cross-functional stakeholders to drive integrated account wins. You'll act as a trusted advisor, leading account planning, fostering product growth through strong customer relationships, and creating feedback loops with product and marketing teams to communicate customer pain points.
The role demands excellence in managing SFDC records, maintaining accurate forecasts, and demonstrating a sharp understanding of the competitive landscape and industry direction. You'll present specialized business plans to customers, generate new opportunities and upsells, and leverage sales tools to increase win rates and bookings.
Required qualifications include 7+ years of success in account management and new business acquisition with a track record of exceeding revenue targets, ideally within the GRC space. You must be able to build trust and influence senior leaders across organizational levels, with exceptional presentation, negotiation, and interpersonal skills. A passion for continuous learning, self-motivation, resilience, and a results-driven mindset are essential. Fluency in both German and English is required.
