Curriculum Associates is seeking an Account Development Specialist to drive growth partnerships with K–12 schools and districts. This is an inside sales role focused on helping educators discover and adopt high-quality instructional materials proven to improve student outcomes.
You will manage inbound leads and proactively reach out to decision makers, generating and advancing pipeline opportunities through the sales cycle. Key responsibilities include conducting exploratory conversations to understand educator needs, delivering virtual product demonstrations, and consistently meeting activity and sales goals tied to quarterly bonuses.
The role emphasizes collaboration and communication. You'll build product expertise in K-8 classroom challenges, maintain accurate opportunity and customer data in Salesforce CRM, partner closely with territory Educational Sales Consultants and cross-functional teams, and represent the company at in-person conferences and school visits. You'll also gather competitive information and share market insights to inform strategy.
This is an excellent opportunity for former educators transitioning into EdTech while continuing to make meaningful impact at scale. A traditional sales background is not required—many top performers came directly from the classroom. What matters most is a customer-centric mindset, ability to translate classroom experience into consultative conversations, results orientation with strong follow-through, excellent communication and presentation skills, and proficiency with business applications (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and chat-based AI tools. Salesforce experience is preferred but not required.
You should demonstrate strong curiosity, ability to learn new products quickly, comfort with decision-making and managing multiple priorities, flexible thinking, and genuine passion for improving education and supporting teachers and students.
The role operates on a hybrid model with 1–2 days per week in-office collaboration and flexibility to work from home. Occasional travel for in-person meetings, school visits, and conferences is expected, typically 3–5 times per year. Structured onboarding and product training are provided, with opportunities to move into advanced roles over time.
