The Account Development Partner is an embedded member of a sales pod, working directly with an Account Executive to drive pipeline creation and account growth. This role bridges sales operations and business development, combining outbound prospecting, account expansion, and operational excellence.
Key responsibilities include:
Account Contact Expansion: Build and maintain organizational charts for strategic accounts, identifying new stakeholders, champions, and influencers. Partner with the AE to identify cross-sell entry points by persona, department, and use case. Create targeted contact lists and engagement strategies aligned to account strategy. Maintain clean CRM data and relationship intelligence.
Meeting Generation & Pipeline Support: Execute outbound sequences into new personas and departments within existing accounts. Set introductory meetings and discovery sessions for the assigned AE. Manage inbound expansion signals and coordinate next steps.
Business Review Management: Own the Monthly/Quarterly Business Review cadence, including scheduling, agenda-setting, preparation, follow-ups, and action tracking. Gather inputs from Sales, Product, and Support teams on usage, roadmap, and open issues. Produce customer-ready decks covering goals, KPIs, and upcoming priorities. Ensure commitments are documented and closed-looped.
Operational Partnership: Turn account strategy into weekly execution plans. Maintain the single source of truth for account plans and initiatives. Manage internal alignment, prep for customer calls, coordinate subject matter experts, and distribute action items.
Customer Intelligence: Monitor account changes, organizational shifts, product usage patterns, support trends, and competitive signals. Provide feedback to internal teams on messaging, engagement strategies, and product direction.
Net-New Opportunity Creation: Prospect into target accounts to identify new opportunities. Execute multi-channel outbound strategies to generate qualified meetings. Qualify inbound leads and route appropriately. Collaborate with Marketing on campaign follow-up and messaging.
