Vensure Employer Solutions, the largest privately held HR technology and service provider in the US, is seeking a Payroll Specialist to support payroll processing for a growing client base. The company serves over 95,000 businesses and processes over $135B in annual payroll. In this role, you will be responsible for day-to-day payroll processing support, including scheduled and off-cycle payrolls. Key responsibilities include importing and manually entering payroll changes (hours, employee updates, earnings, deductions, tax overrides), calculating payroll, and confirming accurate data entry through control totals and manual review. You will respond promptly and accurately to client inquiries via email, cases, and phone, partner with Payroll Supervisors on special projects, and manage your assigned book of business. You'll also build and maintain relationships with team members and peers across disciplines, attend training webinars on best practices, and complete additional duties as assigned. The role is based in a professional, climate-controlled office environment and is computer-intensive, requiring extended periods at a desk with frequent use of monitors and standard office equipment. You will handle confidential employee information in accordance with strict privacy and security standards and interact regularly with clients and internal teams through email, phone, and virtual platforms. REQUIREMENTS: - High school diploma or equivalent (or combination of relevant experience, skills, education, certifications, or job training programs) - Minimum one year of customer service experience - At least one year of payroll experience preferred but not required - Proficiency with Microsoft Office software (Outlook, Microsoft Teams, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and demonstrated ability to learn other applications - Intermediate to advanced proficiency in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, data validation) - Strong time management, attention to detail, and ability to maintain accurate records - Ability to multitask while maintaining high accuracy - Strong verbal and written communication skills with ability to collaborate across teams - Analytical thinking to troubleshoot payroll issues and interpret data - Good judgment in evaluating situations and determining appropriate solutions - Ability to partner with cross-functional departments (HR, Finance, Operations) to resolve payroll issues
