Salary: USD 129,000 - 171,000 / annual
Anduril Industries, a defense technology company, is seeking a Wire Harness Engineer to design, fabricate, and integrate harness systems for advanced military platforms. You will own end-to-end electrical wiring and interconnect systems, including power distribution, grounding, shielding, and signal integrity. Key responsibilities include investigating and planning harness designs to meet technical requirements, researching and selecting appropriate connectors, wire, shielding, and cable construction for environmental compliance, and developing harness system block diagrams and wire diagrams for production release. You will participate in design reviews, prepare assembly instructions and test procedures, and provide guidance to electrical teams on system requirements. The role requires expertise in 3D CAD wire harness routing using Siemens NX and Capital Harness, familiarity with electrical bus interfaces (CAN, Ethernet, RS422, RS232, 1553), and knowledge of MIL-STD requirements and harness standards. You will perform electrical trade studies for wire gauge, shielding, and connector selection, analyze and mitigate electrical risks such as voltage drop, crosstalk, EMI susceptibility, and thermal effects, and apply knowledge of SWaP (Size, Weight, and Power) optimization. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will support new developments, active deployments, and customer-operated hardware while managing concurrent involvement in multiple projects at various stages. This position requires a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering, 3+ years of hands-on experience designing electrical harnessing for rugged commercial, industrial, aerospace, or military applications, and eligibility for US Security Clearance.
