We are seeking a Senior Firmware Validation Engineer to lead validation and quality assurance efforts for rack-level firmware stacks across Graphcore's ARM-based server platforms. This role is critical to ensuring the reliability and production readiness of our hyperscale AI infrastructure.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and execute comprehensive validation strategies for rack-level firmware stacks on ARM server platforms
- Validate firmware components including SoC firmware (EDK II/UEFI), OpenBMC firmware, rack management services, and platform-level infrastructure
- Develop and maintain test plans, test cases, and validation frameworks for complex platform management stacks
- Collaborate closely with firmware engineering, silicon design, hardware engineering, and ODM partners
- Identify, reproduce, and document firmware defects and quality issues
- Ensure production readiness through rigorous testing and validation protocols
- Mentor junior validation engineers and contribute to team knowledge sharing
- Drive continuous improvement in validation methodologies and test automation
The Platform Validation team ensures the reliability of Graphcore's firmware and system software stack across server nodes and rack-scale AI infrastructure. You will work at the intersection of hardware, firmware, and systems engineering, validating mission-critical components used in data center deployments.
This is an individual contributor role with significant technical scope and influence over platform quality standards.
