Hex Technologies is seeking a Web Designer to lead the web pillar within their Brand Design team. You'll own the strategy, UX/UI, art direction, and execution across Hex's website, documentation surfaces, and digital experiences. This is a highly hands-on role where you'll design and execute web experiences from concept through final production. You'll work closely with Product Marketing, Content, and Product teams to tell Hex's product story compellingly. Key responsibilities include: **Design & Web Experience**: Own the design and UX of Hex's website, documentation site, and campaign experiences. Establish visual quality, patterns, and consistency across the web ecosystem. Evolve core surfaces strategically rather than treating them as one-off projects. Partner with Marketing on web priorities while owning the design perspective on hierarchy, UX, and interaction. **Product Launches & Storytelling**: Lead design expression for major product launches. Translate complex product capabilities into clear, compelling visual stories. Participate early in launch planning, bringing design perspective to how stories should unfold. Develop strong points of view on how Hex's product should be depicted across marketing surfaces—from UI and screenshots to demos, diagrams, and interactive experiences. **Motion & Interaction**: Use motion and interaction intentionally to clarify ideas and demonstrate product behavior. Create lightweight animations, micro-interactions, and interactive storytelling moments. Establish clear principles on where motion adds meaning versus decoration. **Design & UX Strategy**: Bring strategic thinking to how UX, visual hierarchy, interaction, and narrative work together. Help define how different audiences encounter Hex across marketing surfaces. Influence how Hex represents its product platform while maintaining clarity and personality. **Hands-On Development**: Take designs into production using HTML, CSS, React/Next.js. You'll be comfortable implementing your own work. As the team scales, you'll transition into a player/coach role, eventually hiring and mentoring a small web design team. This role requires exceptional craft, a strong design perspective, and the ability to balance systems thinking with bespoke creative moments.
