Toast is seeking a Senior Product Designer to join the Web Experience Design team, focusing on designing AI-powered features for Toast's marketing website and customer-facing experiences. You'll work on intelligent chatbots, conversational interfaces, and personalized visitor journeys that help prospects discover information faster and feel a stronger connection to the Toast brand.
In this role, you'll design and iterate on AI-powered features embedded across Toast's web ecosystem, translating complex AI capabilities into intuitive, human-centered interactions that build trust with prospects. You'll partner closely with Web Strategy, Web Engineering, Marketing, and AI/ML teams to understand model capabilities and constraints, then design experiences that work within those parameters.
Key responsibilities include designing personalization logic and experiences that adapt content and messaging based on visitor behavior and intent; prototyping and testing AI-driven concepts using data and user feedback; collaborating with stakeholders to ensure AI experiences align with campaign goals and brand voice; contributing to design patterns and guidelines for AI-enabled experiences; and clearly communicating design rationale and outcomes to cross-functional partners.
You'll need 4+ years of product or web design experience, ideally in B2B SaaS, with exposure to designing AI-powered features like chatbots, recommendation systems, or personalization engines. A solid foundation in UI/UX principles, interaction design, information architecture, and accessibility is essential. You should be comfortable designing within technical constraints, have a portfolio demonstrating user-centered problem solving (especially conversational or AI-enabled interfaces), and possess strong communication skills. The ideal candidate thrives in ambiguity, iterates quickly, and is genuinely curious about AI's potential to solve real human problems.
