Mesh is a global B2B SaaS Travel & Expense platform entering a new growth stage. The company is leveling up AI adoption, building scalable Product practices, and developing leaders to drive the next phase of growth.
As VP of Product, you will lead this transformation—both strategically and operationally. You'll partner closely with founders on major strategic bets and define the future of the Product organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own product strategy, portfolio priorities, and roadmap in partnership with founders and leadership
- Build, lead, and develop a high-performing team of product managers
- Serve as Mesh's de facto AI lead in Product, deciding which workflows AI accelerates or removes, and personally driving critical AI initiatives
- Set the expectation that Product builds with AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, etc.), prototyping and shipping end-to-end when it matters
- Transform complex financial workflows into scalable, intuitive products alongside Engineering and Design
- Align Product, Engineering, Sales, Marketing, and Customer Success around priorities and trade-offs
- Represent product direction to the board, investors, customers, and partners
This role balances strategic vision with hands-on execution. You'll roll up your sleeves on AI initiatives rather than delegating them, and you'll expect the same execution mindset from every PM on your team.
Requirements:
- Previous experience as VP of Product, Chief Product Officer, or equivalent executive product leadership role in B2B SaaS (required)
- 8+ years of product management experience, including building and leading Product teams (required)
- Strong bias toward execution over delegation: daily use of AI coding tools to prototype, automate, or ship; ability to point to something real you built end-to-end; expectation of the same from PMs you hire (required)
- Track record of leading AI strategy at the organizational level—deciding where AI creates real business leverage and owning outcomes, not just experimenting (required)
- Track record of scaling a Product organization through fast-growth stages, including hiring and mentoring
- Strong product and UX judgment with ability to simplify complex problems
- Experience communicating product direction to boards, investors, or senior executives
- Proven experience owning a multi-product portfolio; fintech, payments, or financial software experience is a strong advantage
- Excellent stakeholder management and ability to build trust across Product, Engineering, Design, and GTM
- Decisive leadership, strong judgment, and comfort in fast-moving environments
