Notion is hiring a Forward Deployed Architect to join the Services team in Seoul. You will partner directly with enterprise customers to design, build, and launch AI-native workflows that drive adoption and measurable business outcomes. This role sits at the center of Notion's workflow-led go-to-market motion.
You will own end-to-end customer engagements, from discovery and scoping through solution design, implementation, launch, and adoption. You'll work hands-on across all phases: understanding customer business goals, operating processes, technical environments, and governance needs; translating that context into scalable Notion architectures; designing AI-native workflows; and leading change management to ensure sustained usage and value realization.
Key responsibilities include leading Notion's most complex, multi-workstream customer engagements in Korea; shaping Services scope and implementation strategy with account teams; driving executive alignment on high-stakes, ambiguous decisions; designing scalable architectures with production-quality standards (permissions, AI evaluation, human-in-the-loop controls); orchestrating Forward Deployed Engineers and partners; leading adoption and change management; coaching other architects; scaling the Korea Services practice through reusable reference architectures; and turning field patterns into product signals that influence Notion's roadmap.
You will combine strong consultative discovery, systems thinking, technical fluency, AI-native workflow design, and exceptional customer presence. You should be comfortable reasoning through technical tradeoffs, designing scalable solutions, and partnering with engineering teams when deeper support is needed.
REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years in tech services/consulting, solutions architecture, implementation, customer engineering, or similar customer-facing role
- Proven ability to translate ambiguous customer goals into clear workflows, implementation plans, solution architectures, and measurable success criteria
- Strong consultative discovery skills: mapping current-state workflows, identifying customer pain, understanding operating models, surfacing technical constraints, defining practical future-state solutions
- Hands-on AI builder mindset with experience using AI tools to design, prototype, automate, or improve real business workflows
- Proven track record designing and deploying AI-powered workflows or agents in production for customers
- Hands-on technical depth in data modeling, permission design, API and integration patterns, agent design and evaluation, enterprise security and governance, data validation with SQL or scripts (production coding not required)
- Strong experience delivering implementations that drive adoption, change management, and long-term customer value
- Strong project and engagement management skills: ownership of scope, timeline, deliverables, stakeholder alignment, risks, decisions, dependencies, and launch readiness
- Experience scoping Services work, estimating effort, and delivering within agreed commercial boundaries
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to simplify complex technical concepts for business, technical, and executive audiences
- Strong executive presence and customer judgment; ability to build trust, frame tradeoffs clearly, and move ambiguous decisions forward
- Experience coaching consultants or architects and building methods, reference architectures, or packaged services that others adopt
- Bias toward action, high learning velocity, comfort building in fast-changing AI-native product environments
- Professional fluency in Korean and English
NICE TO HAVES:
- Experience with Notion, APIs, MCPs, Workers, coding agents, or developer platform workflows
- Experience delivering for large Korean enterprises and navigating complex, multi-stakeholder decision processes
- Experience enabling or co-delivering with implementation partners
- Previous experience in fast-paced, high-growth technology environments
