You will be hired as VP of Sales to own the annual revenue number and lead the go-to-market motion. This is a player-coach executive role reporting to the COO. You will build, hire, coach, and lead the full sales organization (Strategic Account Managers, Account Executives, Business Development Representatives, and sales engineering). You will set and evolve go-to-market strategy including ICP definition, segmentation, pricing, commercial frameworks, and forecast discipline. You will personally own executive relationships at top named strategic accounts, operating credibly on the plant floor with operators and controls engineers, in the boardroom with customer C-suite, and internally as an operational partner to founders and product leadership.
Key Year One outcomes include: hitting the annual revenue number with healthy pipeline coverage and forecast accuracy; building the next stage of the sales organization with documented hiring and ramp plans; shipping a repeatable enterprise expansion playbook that turns first-plant pilots into multi-plant standards; personally closing or expanding at least one marquee strategic account with a multi-year master agreement; establishing operating cadence (forecast, pipeline reviews, deal desk, QBRs, comp plan design); and delivering one flagship reference asset with a named enterprise customer.
You will own the revenue forecast, pipeline, and commercial discipline. You will run weekly pipeline reviews, monthly forecasts, quarterly business reviews, deal desk, and comp plan design. You will structure and evolve enterprise commercial frameworks including multi-year master agreements, expansion packaging, and procurement navigation. You will partner with founders and product leadership on positioning, packaging, and roadmap prioritization. You will own sales enablement and the playbook library covering prospecting, discovery, technical qualification, pilot conversion, and multi-plant expansion. You will represent Overview.ai externally with customers, partners, and industry analysts. Travel is 30% to customer plants and field sales activity across North America and globally.
The company has a real book of named enterprise manufacturer accounts already deployed and expanding, including automotive Tier 1s, aerospace primes, global consumer product manufacturers, and steel & tube leaders. The largest customers have grown from one line to 20+ cameras across a dozen sites in under 24 months. Three products are expanding fastest across installed bases: Defect Creator Studio (synthetic defect generation cutting time-to-production by 12.4x), Haystack (continuous drift and failure-mode monitoring), and Integration Builder (no-code PLC/MES/HMI integration).
The company is bootstrapped, profitable, with no outside equity. There is no forced exit risk, no misaligned board, and no re-org risk mid-cycle. You will operate as a direct partner to the founders and technical leadership with authority to shape the go-to-market for the next stage.
