Abode Money is an AI-powered financial home manager helping homeowners save on property taxes, insurance, mortgages, and other home-ownership costs. The company has raised $23M from top-tier investors including Sequoia and Permanent Capital and is the only company offering property tax savings across all 50 states.
You will lead the entire growth organization, including acquisition, lifecycle, activation, and the engineering and design teams supporting these functions. This is fundamentally a product role disguised as a growth role—most leverage comes from product-driven decisions rather than marketing tactics alone.
Key responsibilities:
- Own growth metrics: new customer acquisition, CAC, payback period, conversion, and retention. Set targets and drive outcomes.
- Own the entire funnel: ads, landing pages, signup, onboarding, lifecycle engagement, and renewal decisions.
- Ship product: write specifications, prioritize backlogs, make UX calls, and sit in engineering reviews. You'll have engineers and designers reporting to you and a standing seat on the company roadmap.
- Specify growth surfaces: landing pages, signup flows, onboarding, and lifecycle triggers.
- Identify and validate new acquisition channels with real budget and rapid experimentation.
- Build a national calendar strategy around staggered state appeal deadlines across all 50 states to maintain consistent demand year-round.
- Own the data layer: ensure every step is measured, build defensible attribution, and create a weekly read the entire company relies on.
- Build and lead your team: manage inherited staff, hire additional talent, and decide what stays in-house versus outsourced.
You are a founder-minded operator who wants to run something of your own. You've owned a growth number at a consumer business and hit it. You've shipped product to move metrics—writing specs, reviewing with engineers, and defending design decisions. You think like a product manager and growth marketer combined, comfortable owning roadmaps, running prioritization tradeoffs, and holding your own with engineers. You can answer your own questions with SQL and analytics tools. Background in consumer subscription, fintech, marketplace, or commerce is ideal—anywhere you've had to acquire and retain customers.
The company culture emphasizes autonomy, speed, resourcefulness, and data-driven decision-making. Single-threaded ownership is the norm; you make calls and see them through without committee approval.
Requirements:
- Proven track record owning and hitting a growth number at a consumer business
- Experience shipping product to move metrics (writing specs, engineering collaboration, UX decision-making)
- Product management mindset combined with growth marketing expertise
- SQL and analytics stack proficiency; ability to answer your own questions with data
- Background in consumer subscription, fintech, marketplace, or commerce
- Comfort with roadmap ownership, prioritization tradeoffs, and technical specification defense
- Preferred: software engineering or product-building skills
