Rubrik is a fast-growing cybersecurity company focused on data protection and management in the multi-cloud world. The company delivers Rubrik Security Cloud for cyber resilience and Rubrik Agent Cloud for trusted AI agent deployments.
You will own the product roadmap for Rubrik Security Cloud-Government (RSC-G) and government-focused product initiatives. This is a strategic role that bridges regulatory compliance, customer needs, and product engineering.
Key responsibilities:
- Own the complete product roadmap for RSC-G, developing and articulating a clear strategic vision and rationale for prioritization decisions to engineering and stakeholders.
- Translate regulatory frameworks (FedRAMP, StateRAMP/GovRAMP, CMMC, FIPS, BSI C3A, Cyber Essentials) and digital sovereignty mandates into concrete platform requirements in partnership with Compliance and cross-functional product teams.
- Conduct continuous discovery by talking directly with field teams, government customers, and internal stakeholders to surface and validate requirements.
- Build business cases for investing in or deferring specific capabilities using objective criteria.
- Identify and close parity gaps where government-required capabilities exist but aren't enabled or documented, driving the fastest path to closure.
- Leverage AI agents to automate compliance checks and provide field information.
- Work closely with engineering to write clear requirements, understand technical trade-offs, and build trust through transparent decision-making.
The role offers flexibility: hybrid at US HQ (Palo Alto) or remote from Washington DC metro.
Requirements:
- Solid product management experience with a track record of owning strategy and roadmap for a defined product area, OR equivalent experience as a solutions engineer, solutions architect, or technical customer-facing role, ideally with exposure to regulated or public sector environments.
- Familiarity with government compliance frameworks such as FedRAMP, CMMC, FIPS, BSI C3A, and Cyber Essentials.
- Comfortable working closely with engineering: writing clear requirements, understanding technical trade-offs, and building trust through decision rationale.
- Experience with enterprise infrastructure or cloud platforms delivered across multiple deployment models (SaaS, customer-managed, private, air-gapped/disconnected) is a plus.
- Demonstrated fluency with using AI in daily work—using AI tools to accelerate research, author requirements, and create documentation as a default practice.
- Strong written and verbal communication with a premium on precision.
- U.S. citizenship may be required for certain government customer engagements.
