Mirantis is repositioning from a private cloud infrastructure leader into a full-stack AI Infrastructure company—a vendor-agnostic, open-standard platform for building and operating AI clouds for Neoclouds and enterprises. The company was recently acquired as a wholly owned subsidiary of IREN, giving it a unique market position. Mirantis has an installed base of 1,500 enterprise customers and is an inaugural NVIDIA AI Cloud Ready ISV (one of only three).
As VP of Marketing, you will own marketing across both Enterprise and CSP/Neocloud businesses, reporting to the SVP & GM with a path to the executive table based on impact. This role requires someone who has personally lived through major technology transitions—specifically the rise of cloud native and now the rise of AI infrastructure—and who has built company gravity in the market.
Key responsibilities include:
• Reposition the company from "private cloud infrastructure" to "full-stack AI infrastructure" in market perception—not just messaging.
• Build gravity and get Mirantis into analyst conversations, buyer shortlists, and ecosystem conversations alongside NVIDIA and leading Neocloud/AI infrastructure players through earned attention.
• Craft positioning and messaging personally—the strategic narrative of why an open, vendor-agnostic AI infrastructure standard matters to Neoclouds and enterprises.
• Run marketing for two distinct motions: Enterprise (long-cycle, ABM, expansion into AI workloads within installed base) and CSP/Neocloud (fast-moving, technically sophisticated, reputation-driven buyers) with coherent branding.
• Back every claim of impact with documented artifacts—case studies, metrics, launches that moved markets.
• Lead and reshape the existing marketing team, assessing, developing, and replacing as needed to execute at the speed and technical fluency this market demands.
• Build and activate industry ecosystem partnerships, working closely with the BD team to forge relationships with NVIDIA and leading Neoclouds, turning those into joint go-to-market motions.
Requirements:
• Track record of getting a company's name into the center of buying and industry conversation—measured in brand awareness, analyst/media presence, and pipeline impact.
• Experience with the cloud native rise—understanding how Kubernetes, containers, and infrastructure orchestration became categories, with real experience from that era.
• Deep immersion in the AI infrastructure buildout as an operator with a point of view across the stack: GPU orchestration, AI clouds, model serving, and inferencing.
• Experience at, marketing to, or competing against companies like CoreWeave, Nebius, Crusoe, Together.ai, Fireworks.ai, BaseTen, Modal, Northflank, VAST, Netris, ClearML, or NVIDIA; or infrastructure pedigree from AWS, Red Hat, Rancher, HPE, or Dell (mix of both ideal).
• More entrepreneur than corporate marketer—more time at high-growth startups than large enterprises, defaulting to speed and judgment over process.
• Ability to show specific launches, campaigns, positioning shifts, or brand moments you drove with measurable outcomes.
• Sufficient technical depth (from product marketing, product management, or technical sales) to be credible with infrastructure engineers and AI researchers, with edge in building brand awareness and demand.
• Demonstrated ability to build and activate industry ecosystem, not just market to it—business development and partnerships mandate alongside marketing.
• Track record of being part of building outcomes at the scale of billions of dollars in enterprise value.
• Based in the United States with flexibility for travel.
• Comfortable operating with moderate budget and making sharp trade-offs.
