Nightfall AI is seeking a VP of Finance to lead the company's financial function and executive team. The role encompasses all financial operations including FP&A, accounting, financial reporting, and compliance. You will drive strategic financial planning and modeling to inform company strategy and resource allocation, serving as a key strategic partner to the CEO and leadership team.
Key responsibilities include owning long-term financial planning and modeling, leading fundraising efforts and board relations, developing financial controls and processes suited for a high-growth AI-native SaaS company, and overseeing annual budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis. You will optimize capital allocation, cash flow, and runway management while managing and growing the finance team. The role requires partnering with GTM, Product, and R&D leaders to define and track critical SaaS metrics (ARR, CAC, burn rate) and ensure regulatory compliance.
The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of progressive finance leadership experience in SaaS startups, with demonstrated success scaling companies from early to growth stage (Series A/B/C+). You should have deep expertise in SaaS and subscription business models, proven success leading fundraising and investor relations, strong analytical and FP&A skills, and the ability to build and mentor high-performing finance teams. Experience in AI, security, or data-centric SaaS companies is preferred, as is a CPA and/or MBA. You must thrive in high-growth, dynamic environments and communicate effectively at executive and board levels.
