AirGarage is building a digital operating system for parking real estate, replacing fragmented software and manual operations with unified, data-rich technology. The company serves major real estate owners like Hines and Greystar, as well as tech companies like Meta, delivering 20-50%+ revenue increases through dynamic pricing, license plate recognition, analytics, and real-time occupancy optimization. As the first VP of Finance, you'll be a hands-on builder and strategic thought partner to founders and leadership—not a scorekeeper. You'll own the forward-looking financial model, obsess over unit economics across hundreds of real-world parking locations, and drive decisions across product, operations, sales, and engineering. Key responsibilities include: maintaining and improving driver-based financial models with scenario planning; tracking and improving margins and P&Ls by location; building lightweight, reliable dashboards for cash, runway, sales productivity, and portfolio performance; leading the transition from QuickBooks to a scalable ERP; managing cap table and equity operations via Carta; ensuring investor and board readiness with clean data rooms and consistent metrics; renegotiating vendor spend and standardizing commercial terms; partnering on compensation philosophy and headcount planning; coordinating legal/G&A matters; maintaining cash forecasts and evaluating debt options; and creating ROI templates and decision frameworks for the broader team. You'll need proven experience as a first or very early finance hire at a high-growth, venture-backed company where you personally implemented systems, closed books, and scaled finance operations. This is a hands-on role requiring deep financial modeling, unit economics expertise, and the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights for leadership.
