As Visual Production Designer for Packaging, you will own the creation and execution of high-quality packaging, labels, and production-ready visual assets that ship at global scale across Verkada's hardware portfolio. You'll drive visual consistency and precision across the growing product line while managing the complete production lifecycle from design through vendor delivery. Key responsibilities include: creating scalable printed and digital assets that reinforce Verkada's visual language; collaborating with industrial design and hardware engineering teams on packaging and label artwork; preparing production-ready files and overseeing proofing and production processes; managing vendor communications with clear specifications and resolving production issues; conducting vendor site visits and press checks; evaluating production samples for color, material, and print accuracy; developing design libraries and specifications; identifying and implementing process improvements; and managing multiple priorities against tight schedules. You'll need a Bachelor's degree in Design or related field, 3+ years as a Production Designer for Visual Design, and extensive experience with high-volume print production processes. Required skills include fluency in English and Mandarin, proficiency in Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop, thorough understanding of manufacturing processes and production timelines, and excellent attention to detail. A portfolio demonstrating hardware and/or packaging design work is required. Nice-to-have experience includes 3D surface artwork applications (pad printing, laser etching), enterprise or consumer electronics, and graphic requirements for product certifications (UL, CE). You must be willing to travel internationally up to 15% of the time.
