Salary: USD 80,000 - 120,000 / annual
NOCD is the leading telehealth provider specializing in obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment. This role is for a Virtual IOP (Intensive Outpatient Program) Therapist who will deliver evidence-based, high-acuity OCD care through a virtual platform.
You will conduct virtual evaluations, provide individual and group therapy sessions, and manage complex cases involving OCD and co-occurring conditions such as depression, anxiety, trauma, and body-focused repetitive behaviors. Key responsibilities include developing individualized treatment plans using CBT, ERP, ACT, and other evidence-based modalities; maintaining assigned caseloads; conducting ongoing safety assessments and risk management; coordinating care with external providers and community agencies; and supporting member engagement through motivational strategies and consistent communication.
You will work 40 hours per week with 25 hours of direct clinical work, attend 2 hours of weekly group clinical consultation, and participate in a world-class training program. The role requires strong clinical judgment, crisis-management skills, excellent documentation, and the ability to deliver directive interventions while maintaining warmth and collaborative communication. You will manage treatment-interfering behaviors, make session-level clinical adjustments, and contribute to a multidisciplinary virtual team.
This is a full-time position with flexibility to work across time zones. You will maintain strategic relationships with community therapists, collaborate cross-departmentally, and help drive program excellence and operational efficiency.
Requirements:
- California state therapy license (LMFT, LCSW, LPCC, or equivalent)
- Advanced expertise in ERP (Exposure and Response Prevention) and ACT (Acceptance and Commitment Therapy)
- Strong training in CBT, HRT (Habit Reversal Training), and PE (Prolonged Exposure)
- Experience treating high-acuity OCD and complex presentations
- Experience with co-occurring conditions (PTSD, body-focused repetitive behaviors, depression, anxiety)
- Demonstrated clinical presence, strong crisis-management skills, and excellent documentation abilities
- Ability to deliver clear, directive interventions with warmth and transparency
- Strong boundaries, reliability, and ability to work independently and as part of a virtual team
- Comfort with virtual care delivery and adapting across time zones
- Willingness to participate in cross-license applications as needed for program expansion
- Preferred: PE and BDD (Body Dysmorphic Disorder) training
