Salary: USD 116,000 - 160,000 / annual
Chime, a fintech company, is seeking a Senior Instructional Designer to join the Operations and Member Experience Learning & Development team. In this role, you will design highly engaging, interactive, and modern learning strategies and experiences for agents across Chime's business process outsourcing (BPO) operations.
You will act as a learning consultant to the Disputes Experience line of business, gaining deep understanding of business metrics and crafting learning strategies to drive strong outcomes. Your responsibilities include:
• Collaborating with team members, subject matter experts, and stakeholders to identify training needs and objectives
• Evaluating the effectiveness of learning programs and uncovering opportunities to enhance agent skills and performance
• Applying adult learning principles and instructional design methodologies to create engaging, interactive learning solutions with compelling course content and multimedia (audio, video, simulations, games)
• Owning end-to-end design and development of learning content, including assessment modes to measure effectiveness and application
• Analyzing and applying trends and standard methodologies in instructional design and learning technologies
• Designing learning that reflects understanding of diverse learning styles for a global and diverse audience
• Creating and managing clear project plans outlining stakeholder responsibilities, timelines, needs, and risks
Your work will impact thousands of BPO employees and millions of Chime members. This role requires someone who thrives in a flat, fast-moving organization using lightweight processes, creative ideas, and quick iteration.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 7+ years of experience designing and developing multi-modality learning (eLearning, instructor-led, video, etc.), including system simulations, branching scenarios, and in-depth e-learning solutions
• Subject matter expertise in adult learning theory and instructional design best practices across all modalities
• Experience analyzing source material and creating design documents for developers
• Experience leveraging AI tools in daily workflow to accelerate learning outputs while maintaining quality
• Experience working in both agile and waterfall (ADDIE) design environments
• Demonstrated experience designing and developing high-impact blended learning solutions using 2+ learning authoring tools (Articulate 360 Rise & Storyline, Camtasia, Adobe Captivate, Adobe Premiere Pro, iSpring Suite, Canva, etc.)
• Strong data analysis skills with experience designing evaluation strategies using data/metrics to meet business and learning objectives
• Excellent communication and relationship skills with ability to partner across all organizational levels
• Ability to create and manage clear project plans
• Ability and willingness to travel domestically and internationally approximately 10% of the time
• Plus: Experience driving outcomes through vendor partnerships and contact centers; strong aptitude in graphic design, video, and audio production
