Kraken, one of the world's longest-standing crypto platforms (founded 2011, trusted by 10M+ users globally), is seeking a Senior VIP Relationship Manager for LATAM to scale its high-net-worth individual (HNWI) client book across the region.
You will serve as the trusted point of contact for Kraken's top private clients across LATAM, delivering white-glove relationship management and driving growth through direct client engagement. Your responsibilities include:
• Own the regional VIP client book end-to-end: onboarding, tier progression, retention, and proactive intervention on at-risk clients, with primary KPIs of assets on platform (AOP), net deposits, and trading volume.
• Source and convert new HNWI relationships through direct outreach, referrals, and introducer networks, targeting crypto-wealthy individuals, family offices, trading firm principals, OTC desks, miners, and project treasuries.
• Build Kraken's presence within LATAM's VIP trading and investor communities—private trading groups, investor clubs, KOL networks, and closed-door investor groups—becoming the trusted Kraken face in those ecosystems.
• Bring Kraken's private client offerings to market locally, including yield and earn campaigns, lending against tokenized equities and crypto collateral, OTC execution, and structured benefits, ensuring competitiveness against regional exchanges.
• Design and execute local marketing and events (VIP dinners, trader meetups, conference programming, co-marketing with regional partners and KOLs) in partnership with Marketing and Regional teams.
• Build and manage introducer and referral partnerships that produce a repeatable pipeline of qualified private clients.
• Serve as Payward's regional intelligence source: competitive landscape analysis, product gaps affecting whale retention, and local narratives that move capital.
• Partner cross-functionally with Product, Marketing, Compliance, Banking, and Client Service to champion private client growth initiatives while ensuring all activities remain within Kraken's licensing and compliance framework.
• Travel up to 30% across the region for client meetings, events, and conferences.
Kraken's VIP team supports the firm's highest-value private clients across the Payward ecosystem (which includes NinjaTrader, Breakout, xStocks, Payward Services, and CF Benchmarks), delivering premium, secure, and highly tailored experiences. The role is hybrid and requires someone who thrives in ambiguity, operates in fast-paced environments, and can build and scale initiatives from the ground up.
REQUIREMENTS:
• 5+ years of experience in relationship management, account management, private banking, brokerage, or private client sales, with at least 2 years in the crypto space and a track record of working with HNWIs.
• Existing personal network among LATAM's crypto HNWIs, traders, family offices, OTC desks, funds, or trading communities in Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Colombia, or Chile.
• Demonstrated ability to originate business (not just service it): personally brought in clients, run events, or built community presence that produced measurable pipeline.
• Deep understanding of trading product solutions: spot, margin, and futures trading, OTC trading, lending, and yield/earn products. Familiarity with how deposits and client balances drive exchange lending economics is a strong plus.
• Comfort operating in regulated environments across multiple LATAM jurisdictions with sound judgment on when to involve Compliance early.
• Highly data-driven with expertise in analyzing KPIs: assets on platform, net deposits, trading volume, and client portfolio revenue.
• Ability to be scrappy, bold, and unafraid to explore alternative and creative solutions.
• Deep knowledge of cryptocurrency ecosystems, players, frameworks, and market dynamics beyond blue-chip tokens, including how local on/off-ramps and stablecoin flows shape client behavior.
• Skilled at building meaningful partnerships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and across diverse backgrounds.
• Based in Brazil; native or near-native Portuguese and fluent English required. Spanish is a strong plus.
