MISUMI Americas, a division of MISUMI Group, is seeking a Vice President of Production Operations to lead strategic operational readiness across the organization. This executive role owns the end-to-end operational readiness framework—spanning people, processes, technology, and supply chain—and drives flawless execution across all customer production programs.
Key responsibilities include:
**Operational Readiness & Strategy**: Define and own the operational readiness framework ensuring MISUMI Americas can deliver customer production programs at scale. Work cross-functionally with Sales, Technology, Operations, Engineering, Finance, and Quality to ensure production service offerings achieve strong product-market fit and are operationally deliverable at launch. Develop and execute a multi-year operations strategy aligned with company growth objectives and customer commitments. Establish clear operational KPIs, dashboards, and governance rhythms for visibility and accountability.
**Production Program Execution**: Lead end-to-end execution of customer production programs from onboarding through delivery, ensuring on-time, on-budget, and quality performance. Serve as senior operational escalation point for complex or high-priority programs, resolving bottlenecks and protecting delivery commitments. Collaborate with Program Management VP to implement standards enabling consistent execution across the customer portfolio. Build a production system for launch partner development focused on speed, reproducibility, and reliability using AI tools and enhanced workflows. Own key performance metrics including profitability, on-time delivery, quality, NPS, manufacturing margin, and PPV across all regions.
**People & Organization Leadership**: Collaborate with Regional General Managers to build, develop, and inspire a world-class production operations team including operations managers, program managers, supply chain leaders, and technical staff. Foster a culture of accountability, continuous improvement, and customer orientation. Define organizational structure, roles, and workforce planning strategies. Attract, develop, and retain high-potential operations talent with clear career pathways.
**Process Excellence & Continuous Improvement**: Promote lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and operational excellence methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality across operations.
The role is remote but requires frequent travel (25–40%) to supply regions (India, China, Mexico, Japan, USA), customer locations, and MISUMI Americas operational centers.
