Affirm is seeking a Vice President of People Business Partners & Employee Relations to lead the company's global PBP and ER functions. This is a strategic leadership role reporting to the Chief People Officer and serving as a member of the People Leadership Team, with direct influence on Affirm's executive leadership team.
Key responsibilities include defining strategy and operating models for global PBP and ER functions, building and developing high-performing teams through talent decisions and coaching, and serving as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on organizational, talent, and functional decisions. You will develop deep understanding of Affirm's business strategy and use it to anticipate enterprise-wide organizational and workforce implications. The role involves partnering with executive leadership on workforce strategy, including talent size, composition, capabilities, and deployment, while identifying how technology and AI can increase effectiveness.
You will help leaders design organizations and operating models that clarify accountability and align resources to priorities, raise the quality of leadership and talent decisions company-wide through talent planning and succession, and guide leaders through significant organizational change. The role includes setting strategy for Employee Relations globally, providing executive oversight on complex and sensitive ER matters including investigations and conduct issues, and using ER data to identify emerging organizational risks. You will partner closely with Legal on employment practices, policy, and risk management.
The ideal candidate brings 15+ years of progressive People leadership experience in complex, global technology organizations at scale, significant experience leading a global PBP organization and building high-performing teams, and extensive experience leading Employee Relations including sensitive investigations, executive-level matters, and complex employment decisions in partnership with Legal.
