Cadence is a clinical AI company automating chronic disease treatment. Its Clinical Intelligence platform monitors patients, surfaces risks, and coordinates care so clinicians can focus on high-stakes decisions. The company operates in partnerships with 20+ leading health systems, serves 100,000+ patients, and has been recognized by TIME as a Top 100 HealthTech Company and by LinkedIn as a Top Startup (#4, 2025).
You will be Cadence's first unified marketing leader, owning the demand generation engine and unifying marketing behind a single pipeline and revenue plan. You will connect Communications and Brand with Customer Marketing and build a demand generation function from the ground up. Working across Growth, Revenue Operations, Product, and Data, you will convert Cadence's credibility with health systems, clinicians, and 2,300+ primary care providers and cardiologists nationwide into measurable pipeline.
Key responsibilities include:
- Build and run the demand generation function, addressing the company's most critical near-term pipeline gap. Design and execute account-based marketing (ABM) programs targeting health systems and CMO networks.
- Oversee all paid marketing activities, including SEO/AEO oversight, website optimization, paid conference participation, and sponsorships that build presence among health system buyers.
- Sequence case studies, partner spotlights, and earned media assets into outbound campaigns moving priority accounts from awareness to evaluation. Own the handoff from marketing-qualified leads to account executives with clean routing and closed-loop reporting.
- Partner with Communications and Brand to align all three marketing functions behind shared pipeline and revenue goals, acting as the single accountable owner for marketing outcomes in a refreshed board plan.
- Own lifecycle and expansion marketing, refining provider and patient journeys for stronger engagement, retention, and clinical outcomes.
- Partner with Product, Data, and Revenue Operations to define and own the marketing tech stack, funnel instrumentation, and CRM attribution model. Report on pipeline sourced, pipeline influenced, MQL-to-SQL conversion, and CAC.
- Lead, mentor, and grow a distributed marketing team across demand gen and customer marketing. Hire demand gen talent as an immediate organizational priority and determine the right time to formalize product marketing as a distinct function.
Requirements:
- 8-12+ years of progressive B2B marketing experience, with at least 3 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record building demand generation and ABM programs from the ground up in a growth-stage or mid-market company, personally built and run rather than only overseen.
- Experience marketing to health systems, hospital networks, or enterprise healthcare buyers, as well as patients and providers, strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated command of the full marketing funnel, from brand awareness through pipeline generation and customer expansion, including measurement frameworks that track pipeline sourced, MQL-to-SQL rates, and CAC.
- Track record managing marketing in a resource-constrained environment, prioritizing ruthlessly and delivering outsized impact with lean budgets.
- Experience partnering closely with a sales organization, reporting into a revenue-focused executive, and leading cross-functionally without direct authority.
- Fluency with AI research and productivity tools and the ability to evaluate AI-driven insights critically, distinguishing signal from noise in a fast-moving information environment.
