Pennylane, one of France's leading fintech unicorns, is seeking an SEO & AI Content Specialist to join its Growth team. The company provides a financial and accounting operating system for European SMEs and accounting firms, serving over 1.3 million SMEs and 7,000 accounting firms across Europe.
In this role, you will work closely with the SEO Manager and broader Growth team to drive non-branded organic traffic and conversions through high-quality content production and optimization. You will be responsible for building AI-powered content workflows that accelerate research, outlining, drafting, and optimization while maintaining editorial standards. This includes designing repeatable workflows with briefs, quality checklists, templates, and editorial guidelines to scale content production efficiently.
You will produce and optimize high-value SEO content including articles, pillar pages, and landing pages. Your work will involve turning search intent into clear, useful, and well-structured content for Pennylane's audiences, running continuous optimization initiatives such as content refreshes, consolidation, internal linking, and on-page improvements. You will collaborate with stakeholders across Growth to ensure content supports broader acquisition priorities.
A key part of this role is developing Pennylane's Generative Engine Optimization (GEO) approach—understanding how prospects use AI-powered discovery tools like ChatGPT and Perplexity, adapting content for visibility in AI-generated answers, and testing content formats and structures that improve discoverability without compromising the human reader experience.
You will make data-driven decisions by monitoring SEO performance signals including visibility, rankings, impressions, clicks, CTR, organic traffic, and conversions. You will translate data into actionable recommendations, run experiments, measure impact, and iterate quickly.
The role offers real room to propose and structure how SEO works at Pennylane, with direct and visible impact on organic acquisition and conversion. You will work in a remote-friendly environment with access to home-office equipment, coworking options, and regular in-person team meetings. The company values execution, learning, and sound judgment.
Tools you will use include Meteoria, Profound, Google Search Console, GA4, Semrush, Contentful, and Notion.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Initial, meaningful hands-on experience in SEO with published content you can share
- Fluency in French with strong writing and editing skills; professional working proficiency in English
- Demonstrated ability to improve content and turn good pages into high-performing ones
- Pragmatic, data-informed approach: form hypotheses, test them, measure outcomes, and improve
- Current use of AI tools in day-to-day workflow with enthusiasm to deepen practice
- Sharp eye for structure, clarity, accuracy, and editorial quality
- Comfort working in fast-moving, collaborative environments with ability to focus on high-impact initiatives
