Atoms is building Physical AI—real-world robots for industries including food, mining, and transport. The company integrates hardware, software, AI, operations, manufacturing, and real estate to deploy intelligent systems at scale.
As Vice President, Global Controller, you will report to the CFO and own worldwide accounting for a complex, multi-entity, multi-geography business spanning real estate, software, marketplace platforms, and emerging hardware, with active M&A and a meaningful balance sheet. You will lead the transformation of the accounting function as the company scales.
Key responsibilities include:
- Lead the global accounting organization, including regional controllers and accounting leaders across multiple entities and geographies
- Own monthly, quarterly, and annual close processes, ensuring accuracy, scalability, and operational excellence
- Drive accounting transformation initiatives, systems improvements, process automation, and organizational design enhancements
- Lead complex financial cleanup and remediation efforts, building scalable infrastructure in a high-growth environment
- Strengthen internal controls, accounting policies, governance frameworks, and financial reporting processes
- Partner closely with Finance, Tax, Treasury, FP&A, Legal, and operational leaders
- Support audit readiness, technical accounting matters, and IPO preparedness initiatives
- Evaluate and optimize processes, technology, and team structures to increase efficiency and business partnership
- Serve as trusted advisor to the CFO and executive leadership on accounting and finance transformation
- Establish systems, processes, and organizational foundations to support future growth and public-company aspirations
Required qualifications: 15+ years of progressive accounting leadership experience; CPA with Big Four public accounting background; experience leading large, global, multi-entity accounting organizations; proven success scaling high-growth businesses and navigating complexity. Desirable: IPO readiness, public company, SOX, or large transformation experience. Strong systems orientation, ability to balance execution with strategy, high ownership, exceptional communication, comfort with ambiguity, and familiarity with high-rigor public company standards.
