Illumio, a leader in ransomware and breach containment, is seeking a Vice President, Corporate Controller to report directly to the CFO and oversee global controllership, accounting, tax, treasury, compliance, and financial operations. This is a strategic role requiring 4 on-site days per week at the Sunnyvale headquarters. You will lead a high-performing global finance team across 20+ countries, building and mentoring a world-class organization while serving as a key advisor to the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, and Audit Committee on financial, operational, and governance matters. Key responsibilities include: - Providing deep revenue recognition expertise for enterprise SaaS models, owning the integrity and reporting of key metrics (ARR, ACV, NRR, customer counts) used by leadership and the Board - Directing all global accounting operations (AR, AP, GL, equity, payroll) to ensure timely and accurate monthly closings - Managing end-to-end sales commission administration, including software management and monthly payouts - Engaging in deal structuring with field and revenue operations teams to optimize financial impact and ensure compliance - Overseeing cash management, treasury, foreign exchange, hedging, and stock administration - Leading finance systems modernization, automation, and AI-enabled process improvements - Collaborating with FP&A on cash, revenue, and commission forecasting - Overseeing internal and external financial statement reporting and Audit Committee presentations - Managing relationships with external advisors (audit, tax, valuation experts) - Developing accounting policies and ensuring SOX compliance across all financial processes Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance, CPA license, and proven ability to build and lead global teams in fast-paced, high-growth environments. Big 4 audit experience is highly preferred. Strong knowledge of SEC, FASB, and GAAP standards, particularly as they apply to software and SaaS. Experience with revenue recognition, equity accounting, and internal-use software standards is essential. Bonus: IPO readiness, SEC reporting, S-1 filing, or public company operating experience.
