Arvinas, a biotechnology company pioneering targeted protein degradation therapies, seeks a Vice President and Development Asset Team Leader to drive the scientific strategy and execution of early-to-late-stage oncology development programs. This role reports to senior leadership and leads cross-functional development teams accountable for program strategy and seamless execution across all phases of drug development.
The successful candidate will leverage deep expertise in biological sciences and drug development mechanisms to recommend and drive the strategic direction of oncology assets, ensuring execution against planned timelines for early, mid-stage, and late-stage programs. You will lead a cross-functional team spanning clinical research, clinical operations, regulatory affairs, clinical pharmacology, translational science/companion diagnostics, CMC (chemistry, manufacturing, and controls), non-clinical development, medical affairs, and new product planning.
Key responsibilities include: partnering with functional leaders on the Asset Team to define and execute scientific strategy; leading cross-functional teams to deliver against program objectives; applying expert-level knowledge of biology and drug development mechanisms to inform strategic decisions; overseeing the seamless execution of development programs; and ensuring alignment across all functional areas to achieve program milestones and regulatory objectives.
The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in oncology drug development, demonstrated leadership of cross-functional teams in a biotech or pharma environment, deep scientific expertise in biological mechanisms relevant to drug development, and a track record of successfully advancing programs through multiple development phases. This is an opportunity to shape the development strategy of Arvinas' innovative PROTAC protein degrader pipeline, including programs targeting KRAS G12D, BCL6, and other oncology indications.
