Bird is seeking a General Manager to lead operations across a subset of Canadian markets. This is a P&L ownership role responsible for driving revenue growth and city profitability while building and developing a team of at least five direct reports.
Key responsibilities include: managing forecasted goals and business outcomes for designated markets; making strategic decisions on revenue growth and operational efficiency; building and maintaining relationships with city stakeholders; leading cross-functional initiatives spanning hardware, product, supply chain, inventory, growth, customer experience, and government relations; and providing operational leadership with hands-on involvement in field management, regulatory compliance, utilization, and growth initiatives.
The role requires 7+ years of experience in operations, strategy, supply chain, or consulting, plus 5+ years of people management experience. You'll need a bachelor's degree, strong data-driven decision-making skills, and the ability to lead and influence across functions. The position involves approximately 25% travel.
Highly desired qualifications include government relations experience with municipal and regulatory stakeholders, asset management expertise with large-scale physical inventories or distributed hardware networks, previous experience in micromobility/logistics/transportation sectors, demonstrated operational leadership in high-pressure environments, and business acumen (MBA or venture-building experience).
