Hayden AI is transforming transit systems and government agencies through computer vision technology. The company's mobile perception system enables bus lane enforcement, transportation optimization, and street safety improvements. The Chief of Staff role partners directly with the CEO and executive leadership team to drive corporate strategy and operationalize it across the organization. This position serves as connective tissue, identifying gaps between functions, managing information flow to leadership, and owning cross-functional initiatives that lack a natural home. Key responsibilities include: Strategic Partnership: Act as thought partner to CEO and ELT, pressure-testing ideas and assessing market opportunities. Conduct competitive and industry analysis, support board and investor preparation, and lead the annual strategy process. Become the go-to source for market dynamics, Hayden's roadmap, and product investigations. Operationalization: Translate strategic priorities into actionable plans with clear follow-through. Synthesize operational data and performance metrics across departments. Contribute to monthly operating reviews and track progress against key objectives. Identify misalignment and gaps before they escalate. Executive Cadence: Own ELT meeting structure, including agendas, pre-reads, and action-item tracking. Partner with CEO to establish recurring leadership rhythms (weekly staff meetings, monthly reviews, quarterly offsites). Executive Support & Board Engagement: Manage information flow to ensure leadership focuses on priorities. Prepare for strategic reviews and board meetings with analysis and recommendations. Own ambiguous or sensitive cross-functional projects. Market Intelligence: Track and analyze data for board inquiries. Maintain deep understanding of market trends and competitive dynamics to inform ELT and board discussions. Required qualifications: Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, or related field (graduate degree preferred). 7+ years in strategy consulting, business operations, or product management at comparable-sized tech companies. Experience presenting to C-level executives and boards. Excellent communication and presentation skills. Demonstrated proficiency with AI tools (Claude, etc.) for analytics and productivity. Ability to move fluidly between strategic thinking and hands-on execution. High discretion with confidential information.
